Portland Newborn Photographer | Lifestyle Newborn Session.

As some of you may know, I "quit" doing newborn sessions a 

couple of years ago.I just felt the the posed naked baby stuff was not my style and I wasn't being true to the artist in me, so I took a break.  

Well, I've figured out my style in regards to newborns and am now 

accepting clients again! I will be offering black & white lifestyle 

sessions only.If you are interested in booking a 

newborn session, please contact me BEFORE your baby is born. 

I am so honored to have been able to photograph this new family. I was scheduled to photograph their birth, but an emergency c-section prevented me from getting there in time. So, to be able to photograph their 

son this way was awesome. 

This little guy was crazy-cute with loads of blond hair. He was very mellow and content, which just made my job so much easier. Not to mention their adorable basset Hound, Edmond, who got in a few shots.

I recently took a weekend trip to Astoria, Oregon. 

By myself.

Yes, BY. MY. SELF. 

And it was glorious! 

We used to live there, but the only purpose for this 

trip was for me to get some quality "me time" and relax. 

I took a few shots shortly before sunset.

 I stumbled across this amazing antique store. 

I don't know if it just did not exist when I lived in Astoria, or if it is new. If it was there, I don't know how I missed it! 

I bet I sat and watched the sea lions for an hour, if not longer. 

They are SO funny! 

I also brought along my Yashica (as seen here) with me for some practice.

Every now and then I make time for myself. 

Sometimes it's shopping. 

Sometimes it's getting a pedicure. 

Sometimes it's just begging out in the backyard. 

Sometimes, though, it's me driving around in the car with the music on and stopping every so often to take photos. One day, last fall (yes, I'm slow when it comes to getting film developed, scanned, and blogged) I did just this with my trusty 35mm camera. For anyone interested, these were all taken on the same roll of Ilford Delta 400.
