Salem Portrait Photographer | Coolest eyes ever.

I love eyes. Love them. All colors. All shapes.
I love how different they all are.
I swear that almost every time I do a photo session I think that my
client has the best eyes I've ever seen. This kid, however, really DOES
have the coolest eyes I've ever seen! He is friends with one of my
kids and was kind enough to let me snap a couple of quick shots of him while they were running around outside.

One of his parents has brown eyes and one has blue eyes.
He told me that when he was born that one of his eyes was green, but has since changed (I can't remember if it was the brown or blue).

Family Portrait Photographer | Red Rock Session | Las Vegas

This family is awesome. Just awesome.
I photographed them in Las Vegas, as we were all in town at the same time and it just worked out so nicely.
We were even able to get grandma in on the session!
Of course I can relate to them, as they have three boys like us.
Such a nice family, sweet and funny kids,
and they're all so good looking!

I love this shot. Love it!

The baby.
Oh my gosh, he was so cute and I just love his eyes!
They were so sparkly, especially for brown eyes (which are my favorite, but shhh, don't tell my blue eyed husband or my three blue eyed children).

The oldest.
I just love his laid back attitude and sweet nature.

The middle child.
He is SO much like my middle child, I couldn't believe it.
This kid was a riot. Such a ham.

Haha, loved this shot! Silly boys.

They were such a ridiculously cute couple!

All the boys.

I don't remember what was so funny, but boy did I get mother and
daughter laughing! I think this is just so cute!

Hanging with Grandma.

They were so happy when I said they could do crazy jumps off the big rocks.

I think this is so sweet because he didn't know I was photographing him
and it just screams "childhood" to me. He is so cute!

Salem Fine Art Photographer | A day with film.

Every now and then I make time for myself.

Sometimes it's shopping.
Sometimes it's getting a pedicure.
Sometimes it's just begging out in the backyard.

Sometimes, though, it's me driving around in the car with the music on and stopping every so often to take photos. One day, last fall (yes, I'm slow when it comes to getting film developed, scanned, and blogged) I did just this with my trusty 35mm camera. For anyone interested, these were all taken on the same roll of Ilford Delta 400.

Salem Portrait Photographer | Experimentation Station

I generally prefer to work with natural light, but I thought it would be fun to experiment with some artificial lighting in this neat little location. Thanks to my friend, Laura, for being my patient model.
